WrestleMania 25

On April 5th 2009 WWE will start all over again having the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania!, were it all begins again. The first Wrestlemania was held in March 31st 1985 at the Madison Square Garden arena, in New York City, with an outstanding attendance of 19,121. People from around the world came to witness the era that changed the wrestling industry forever. WrestleMania 1 also including many celebrities such as Mr.T, Muhammad Ali and Liberace. Hulk Hogan and Mr.T faced off against Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Hogan got the victory after a Bob Orton inadvertally hit Orndorff over the head with his cast.
After that night sports entertainment changed. Millions of people stared getting into wrestling. After 25 years, WrestleMania still lives up to this day, getting better and better each year.

Millions of people from different country's, and states travel to the location to be a part of the spectacular event every year. At WrestleMania 21 a little kick was added to it called the Money in the bank ladder match, in wich superstars battle and who ever retrieves the briefcase hanging high above the ring will earn a championship match of there choosing guaranteed. The first money in the bank included Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Shelton Benjamin, Edge, Kane, and Christian, which Edge would win after hitting Benoit with a steel chair knocking him off the ladder. Edge later on cash it in after WWE champion John Cena won an elimination chamber match and attacking Cena from behind with a spear becoming new WWE champion. Ever since Wrestlemania 21 every Wrestlemania had the Money in the bank ladder match. Also there is a Streak that has been going on 16 years now. a streak by none other than, "The Phenom" The Undertaker. Undertaker never lost at a WrestleMania, Every year his streak is in jeopardy, But the Dead man always has the upper hand in the end, therefore making him a legend. But will Undertaker go 17-0? Or will "Mr.WrestleMania" Shawn Michaels put the streak to rest making it 16-1. The only way to find out is to watch the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania!

Andrew 'Test' Martin

The professional wrestler known as "Test" or the "Punisher" planned to leave Monday to celebrate in France, Sweden and Belgium, according to his MySpace page. But authorities found his body Friday night at about 8 o'clock. And officers have since disclosed that they discovered prescription drugs, including painkillers and steroids, in the Harbour Place apartment.

A neighbor had become suspicious after watching him lie motionless on a couch for hours and called police. It appeared Mr. Martin was in the middle of a meal when he died, said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. There was a half-eaten pizza and soda nearby. Officers do not suspect foul play. There were no signs of trauma to Mr. Martin, she said. "He was obviously very healthy, McElroy said. The mystery of his death will likely be solved by his toxicology report. Mr. Martin last performed for the World Wide Entertainment wrestling show in February 2007. Fans have been speculating on numerous Web sites about why professional wrestlers have died young, including two locally.

Former professional wrestler Brian "Crush" Adams, 44, died Aug. 13, 2007, in his New Tampa home. An autopsy report found a mix of prescription drugs, a pain reliever, muscle relaxer and anxiety medication. And on Jan. 19, 2007, ex-wrestler Scott Charles "Bam Bam" Bigelow, 45, died in his home in Hudson. Cause of death: multiple drugs, an autopsy revealed. Many wrestling deaths cite coronary problems, which can be linked to excessive steroid use. Pro wrestlers are not tested for performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids. More than 40 fans and friends left messages on Mr. Martin's MySpace page.
One remembered watching Mr. Martin exhibit self control when a fan "spat in your face and you were cool enough to stop the security guards from throwing him out for the sake of the kids who came with him so they could stay at the show."
On his page, Mr. Martin listed his dad as his hero and that "a good scary movie on the couch with my girl is a good night."

As seen on WWE Raw or not seen they didn't bother to air a graphic in honor of Andrew "Test" Martin, who served nearly seven years of service to the company at various points from 1998 through 2007. Company officials are said to be on edge about Martin as his death brought them some unwanted bad publicity when they're trying harder than to ever to present a clean image to the public. As result, they didn't announce the Von Erichs' induction into the WWE Hall of Fame during the broadcast since of the five wrestling sons of the legendary Fritz Von Erich, four died before their 34th birthday. Instead, they quietly made the announcement on WWE.com.

Perhaps in another sign that WWE is trying to shy away from the death of Martin, they put up a graphic acknowledging his passing on the front page of the company website on Saturday, but pulled it early Sunday. While the statement regarding his passing is still up, it's buried amidst a sea of miscellaneous headlines. Furthermore, they didn't bother to put up a tribute photo gallery in honor of Martin like they usually do when a past or present company performer passes away. Is the WWE trying to make the memory of Test vanish like they did with Chris Benoit?

The Age Of Randy Orton

Born on April 1st, 1980 in Knoxville Tennessee Build from ST. Louis Missouri "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton quickly began he career in 2000 at the Mid-Missouri Wrestling Association-Southern Illinois Conference Wrestling. As all of us knows he is the son of WWE Hall of famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton and grandfather Bob Orton Sr. Therefore making Randy a 3rd generation superstar.

Orton made his first WWE Appearance against Hardcore Holly on Smackdown April 25th 2002. On September 2002 Orton was drafted to Raw defeating Stevie Richards.Later on Orton suffered a shoulder injury keeping him out for months. Orton had these news updates spots slowly turning himself into a Heel. After his return Orton joined Evolution with, Triple H, Batista, and Ric Flair. Orton helped Triple H overcome Scott Steiner and Goldberg, later calling himself "The Legend Killer" after Spiting in the face of Harley Race and Mick Foley.

At WrestleMania 21 Randy Orton challenged The Undertaker, Orton threaten the Undertaker that he was going to end his Legendary WrestleMania steak which is still alive today. Unfortunately Orton was just another victim for Undertaker. Randy won his first world title at Summer Slam against the late great Chris Benoit, later on losing it to Triple H. Surely Randy Orton will be the future of WWE. After wining the 2009 Royal Rumble just may be enough to make him into the top superstar on the WWE roster. I am willing to that Orton will win either WWE title or the World heavy weight championship at WrestleMania 25.So be ready to witness the age of Orton whether you like it or not.

Randy "The Ram" VS Chris Jericho

Mickey Rourke has received critical acclaim for his comeback role in “The Wrestler,” where he plays a former pro wrestling legend who falls on hard times.
And on the red carpet at the 15th Annual SAG Awards on Sunday night in Hollywood, the actor revealed he’s about to get in the ring in real life. But Rourke will be participating in WWE’s “Wrestlemania 25” in Houston on April 5?

“The boys from the WWE called me and asked me to do it,” Rourke told Access Hollywood. “I said, ‘I want to.’ I’m talking with [WWE legend] Rowdy Roddy Piper about it.”

In fact, Rourke, whose role in “The Wrestler” earned him a SAG nomination for Best Actor (as well as an Academy Award nomination and a win at the Golden Globes earlier this month), said the professional wrestling industry has been extremely supportive of his portrayal of the sport.

“The nicest thing has been the whole wrestling community embracing us,” Rourke said on the red carpet. “The movie was about their world.”

And when he does jump into the ring with WWE, it appears the actor may already have his sights set on an opponent.

“Chris Jericho, you better get in shape,” Rourke added. “Because I’m coming after your ass.”

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin will be inducted in the 2009 Hall of Fame ceremony on April 4th, the day before the biggest event in WWE history Wrestlemania 25. Mania25 will take place right in his home town of Houston, Texas. Born on December 18, 1964, Austin debuted in WCW as "Stunning" Steve Austin; almost immediately after his debut Austin defeated Bobby Eaton for The WCW championship. Just weeks later Austin joined Paul E. Dangerous Alliance. Steve lost his belt to Barry Windham in a 2 out of 3 falls match which Steve later regained from Windham on May 23, 1992.

In 1995 Steve Austin was fired from WCW after suffering a triceps injury. Austin made his way to ECW which he lasted about 2 years. In 1996 the 3:16 era began, 1996 King of The Ring Steve defeated Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the final match. After the match Steve did a promo in which he said to Jake. You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16... Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass! Austin 3:16 became one the most popular catch phrases in wrestling history. Unfortunately Austin’s career began to crumble when he injured his neck in a match with Owen Hart.

Austin still continued to wrestle, in 1997 Austin had a feud with Mr.McMahon which turned out to be one of the greatest feuds ever. Austin beat the living hell out of McMahon week after week. After his feud with McMahon, Steve moved on to The Rock. which once again a legendary feud. At Wrestlemania 17 Rock and Austin went at it in a 1 on 1 match which Austin won. But then at Wrestlemania 19 they had another match which Rock won. Sadly that was Steve Austins last match. He retired in 2003 due to neck and knee injuries. In 2007 Austin Stared in a WWE film movie "The Condemned”.Austin later on making a return beating the life out of Santino Marella because he was ranting about the movie. April 4th 2009 will be a very sad night for many WWE fans and wrestlers alike. It will mark the closure of Stone Cold Steve Austins WWE career forever. But as we all know he will always be the Baddest SOB you will ever know, the Texas rattle snake!! Steve will be a LEGEND soon.

ECW Not Extreme!

In 2006 WWE brought back ECW with most of its original extremists including Sabu, Sandman, Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer and more. For a few months ECW was really exiting because of its rebirth and extreme matches, ECW was on a hardcore roll. Until WWE started releasing many originals from the company, once they were gone ECW went down in the dumps having poor matches and nothing extreme. Weeks later wrestlers started getting disqualified in there ECW matches not so extreme if you ask me.

ECW stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling so why in the hell would you get disqualified? It makes no sense at all, what’s the point of calling it EXTREME! Back in the original ECW days when Paul Heyman owned the company you would have people drilled through flaming tables and barbed wire bats grinding into there forehead now that’s extreme. Today in this water down ECW all you see is maybe a garbage can getting smashed over a persons head or a kendo stick or two. What happen to the real land of extreme? WWE should not even call it ECW anymore because it just sort of like a crappier version of smackdown. This sissified version of ECW shows every Tuesday at 10:00 pm on SCI-FI. It’s pretty silly to still call it ECW why not call it Tuesday Night Titans or something alone those lines. Hopefully one day ECW will rise again like a phoenix from a burning table and become extreme once more.

Rowdy Roddy Piper

Having joined the WWE in 1984, Roddy hosted his own interview segment – Piper's Pit. Piper's Pit made Roddy Piper one of the WWE's most talked about performers. In 1985, he first crossed paths with Hulk Hogan – and the rest is history. They became the two biggest box office superstars in the WWE's history. It was WrestleMania 1, with the main event of Piper and Paul Orndorff teamed against Hogan and Mr. T that put the WWE on the map. Now, in 2005, Piper is still headlining. This time it was Wrestlemania 21 on April 3, 2005 in Hollywood, when he presented his infamous Piper's Pit with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Roddy Piper has starred in many movies including John Carpenter's much-acclaimed, "They Live," which was a number one box office hit. In 2003, the fight scene in John Carpenter's THEY LIVE was awarded one of the top ten fight scenes in cinema history. The scene is featured on the DVD, "Ultimate Fights in the Movies." Roddy's long list of Film and T.V. credits continue to grow.

In 2003, Roddy came out with his best selling autobiography published by Penguin-Putnam, "In the Pit with Piper."

The best way to learn more about Roddy Piper is to see and talk to the man himself. Keep an eye out in your area for his One-Man Show tours. He has had a career like not other, with accomplishments the likes of which most of us can only dream. On April 2, 2005, at the Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood, Roddy Piper was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fane. Roddy's longtime nemesis, 16 times world champion, Ric Flair, when doing the introduction, said, "Roddy Piper is the most talented man in the history of professional wrestling. Bar none!" Big Red Machine Kane

Before making his 1997 WWE debut as Kane, Glen Thomas Jacobs had many gimmicks such as, The Christmas Creature, The fake Diesel, and Dr. Issac Yankem DDS, which were very horrible gimmicks .Glen, was trained by Ray Candy and former Radicalz member Dean Malenko. Years later WWE thought up a great storyline which was that The Undertaker had a brother who he had accidentally killed along with his parents by setting his house on fire. Not long later Paul Bearer Reveled the dark secret what Undertaker did to his brother & parents and week by week Paul would drop hints to Undertaker that Kane is coming.

Finally, at Bad Blood 1997, Glen Jacobs made his final and successful character debut as the maniac Kane. It was Shawn Michaels VS The Undertaker in a Hell In Cell match, around the middle of that match undertaker was setting up HBK for a tombstone suddenly the lights went out Kane's music hit as you see him walking down the ramp with a passion for revenge and by his side none other that Paul Bearer. Kane ripped the Cell door off its hinges and entered the cell staring at Undertaker in the ring face to face. Kane does his pyro gimmick distracting the Undertaker. Kane then picks him up his brother for a tombstone piledriver and nailed him right into the canvas. Shawn quickly went for the pin and got the 1 2 3.

Weeks later Kane wanted to fight the undertaker in a match but Undertaker refused. So Kane took matters into his own hands and lit a casket on fire with Undertaker inside. Later on Undertaker returned wanting to face his brother and that match happened at WrestleMania 14.Undertaker went through hell fighting his brother but prevailed at the end, it took him 3 tombstones to get the win. A year or two later Kane extended his hand in friendship to Undertaker, and then formed a tag team called The Brothers of Destruction. Undertaker and Kane were the most dominating tag team around that time. Known for Breaking Vince McMahon’s ankle and putting him in the hospital the Brothers of Destruction were on a role winning the tag team belts. Around 2002 the Brothers started wrestling single again. And that’s when Kane became even more famous starring in a full length movie called "See No Evil”. The Brothers of Destruction finally reunited in 2006 to face MVP and Mr. Kennedy which was a great match. Then again facing Booker T and Finlay. Kane is a Very talented superstar I hope WWE gives him a WWE Championship run in the future, which he more than deserves.

The Perfect Wrestler

A little over five years ago On February 10, 2003, Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig was found dead in a Florida hotel room. The Tampa Coroner's office and the Tampa Medical Examiner's office declared acute cocaine intoxication as the official cause of his death. His father former wrestler Larry "The Axe" Hennig said that steroids and painkillers also contributed to his death.

WWE aired a video tribute as well as words from friends and former co-workers Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross on Raw following the news of Hennig's death. TNA paid tribute to Hennig by displaying his wrestling singlet and a framed photo as he was employed by TNA at the time of his death.

Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig is considered by insiders and his peers (most notably Bret Hart and Ric Flair) as one of the greatest in ring performers in modern wrestling history.
Wade Boggs, who famously appeared in a vignette with Hennig and was a close friend of his, inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31, 2007. His wife, his four children, and his parents accepted the award on his behalf.

Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig will always be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers in the WWE A tribute song about Hennig, "My Perfect Friend", was featured on the 2003 "Macho Man" Randy Savage album Be a Man and just a few months ago the DVD The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect was released highlighting the career or a perfect wrestler.

Where is Perry Saturn?

No one seems to know where former WWE/WCW wrestler Perry Saturn is. Some of his closest friends actually believe he's not alive, but no one has proof one way or the other. At the funeral of Killer Kowalski, the whereabouts of Perry Saturn was the number one topic of conversation with a number of his friends saying they didn't believe he was still alive. Every few months or so, his friends ask Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer to do a missing persons search on him, but it always turns up with nothing. The big question is where in the world is Perry Saturn?

The WWE FutureStars!

WWE should look in to giving some of the newer wrestlers a push there are many individuals in the company that can have a more promising career if properly promoted. MVP (Montel Vontaivous Porter) also an acronym for most valuable player should be given a chance to be a top WWE superstar, MVP is a talented wrestler with a fairly good gimmick. The WWE should stop giving people like Santino Marella chances to win matches and championships although he is hilarious when it comes to backstage segments and microphone interviews but he is just not quite the right candidate to hold WWE gold. Why the WWE gives pushed to talent-less wrestlers like the The Miz is beyond me, Miz has no in ring skills and zero personality in interviews. On the other hand, John Morrison is a fairly decent wrestler and deserves a push in the future. Hopefully the WWE will take a look at some of these wrestlers and keep them in mind for a future push.

Ashley Massaro VS Ashley Massaro!

Here are the mysterious details about the two Ashley’s:

1- On the left in the bikini is an alleged Las Vegas model who happens to have the same name as WWE wrestling diva, Ashley Massaro. The WWE Ashley Massaro has been fingered in an escort scandal by the FBI and Rolling Stone magazine. Fans of Ashley are trying to say that the girl in the bikini is a dead ringer for Ashley with the same name who is actually the one implicated in the whole mess.

2- There are two Ashley Massaros. One is our favorite ex WWE diva, the other is a model who supposedly lives in Las Vegas. Both women have the same name, and the two were often mistaken for each other in the past which is why WWE Ashley went by Ashley Marie Massaro before she joined WWE. To make life more exciting both women look freakishly similar, but the Vegas Ashley is said to be younger than the ex WWE diva.

3- Philly Burbs journalist Eric Gargiulo has spoken to a few people close to the Ashley Massaro escort scandal story, and they are saying that the Ashley Massaro named by Rolling Stone is indeed the WWE Diva. Gargiulo's sources are saying that the timing fits right and considering that the girl in question was advertised from New York City, it's a pretty big giveaway.

4- Ashley's profile did in fact exist on the website of the Los Angeles based "Bella Models" escort agency, but no pictures were found. Although, Massaro's name was never erased from the website. The page said that Massaro was based out of New York City. Of course, the WWE Diva is from Long Island, New York, which is nearby New York City. The page also listed her nightly booking fee at whopping $25,000.

5- At the moment, it appears as though that the WWE Diva's lone saving grace is Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer saying that there is, or at least was, "another Ashley Massaro" based out of Las Vegas. The alleged Massaro is a bikini model who won some major bikini competitions in 2003 and 2004, according to Meltzer. Additionally, the alleged Massaro is three years younger than the WWE Diva. People have trying to find information online on the supposed bikini model, but no one's been able to pull up up anything on her. Even if a Las Vegas based Ashley Massaro does indeed exist, the only other possible explanation that the person named by Rolling Stone is not the WWE Diva is if the Las Vegas bikini model happened to live in New York City in 2003-2004 as well, and that's a pretty big stretch.

In conclusion, well honestly we at WWEGossip are a bit stumped. Are there two Ashley Massaro if so this could be a very lucrative storyline fore WWE or even TNA. Imagine the call girl Ashley verses WWE Ashley in a wrestling match cool stuff! The one conclusion we at WWEGossip can agree on is that both Ashley’s are HOT!

Bring Back The Legends!

WWE should bring back legends to manage some of today’s WWE superstars, having a legend at ringside while your having a match will be great its like having a mentor to help you win matches and become a better wrestler. For Example, WWE should bring back Rick Flair to manage Triple who is great wrestler there is no doubt that and everyone knows he will be a future hall of famer. However, having Ric Flair at ringside will be a amazing privilege they would be unstoppable, just like back in the evolution days.

Ric Flair is the dirtiest player in the game in the corner of the game would make Triple H better than ever or imagine HBK (who ended Ric's career at WresltleMania 24) having Ric Flair as a manager WOW! If that were to happen WWE attitude would be born again. Another good manager would be WWE legend Rowdy Roddy Piper who could be a manager/mentor for the younger talent and guide them to future superstar status. Bring back legends such as Flair & Piper to manage would also pull in a larger fan base of old school wrestling fans. The WWE bringing back those legends who paved the way would be awesome and give wrestling legends a chance to once again be seen in the spotlight and help mold the new up and comers into future WWE legends.

The Undertaker Still Kicking Ass!

The Undertaker began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling in 1984. He joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1989. When WCW did not renew The Undertaker contract in 1990, in November of that year he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, which later became the WWE in 2002). Having remained with that company ever since, The Undertaker is currently one of the senior performers in WWE. He is one of only two wrestlers, the other being Shawn Michaels, to have appeared on the very first episode of Raw who are still with the company today.

The Undertaker is also the creator of several specialty matches, those being; The Casket match, The Boiler Room Brawl match, The Buried Alive match, the Hell in a Cell match and the Inferno Match in which the entire ring is surrounded in fire.

Undertaker is undefeated at WrestleMania with a 16-0 record (referred to as simply The Streak) and is a six-time world champion (four-time WWE Champion and two-time World Heavyweight Champion). Many say Undertaker’s winning WrestleMania streak will end at WrestleMania XXV (25). I say and I am sure all Taker fans will agree that The Streak should never end. If the WWE decides to end the Undertaker’s streak at mania it would certainly put the nail in the coffin of Undertaker’s character and no wrestling fan would Rest In Peace!
